Capt. Kris Johnson exceeded my expectations for the planned guided fishing trip as I am not too familiar with saltwater fishing. He has the credentials, experience, local connections, friendly attitude, and willingness to help teach an old dog new tricks. Main goal was for providing an opportunity for my son Andrew to learn ways in lower tidal rivers and areas to catch saltwater species or his bucket list fish. The time of year at the location yielded speckled trout and we surely caught many trout. We were expecting maybe a few bites, but Kris really showed us ways to keep on top of them. I believe Andrew will be able to come back with his boat in the future and replicate methods learned from Kris. The quality of the fish caught surpassed our expectations. We learned that speckled trout is one of our favorite species to cook at home. Throughout the day Kris was safe, kind, helpful teaching, organized, timely, and respectful. I look forward to booking more trips with him in the future.

Definitely a highly recommended trip with a solid guide that treats you like family. I've been fortunate in my life and have had the opportunity to charter fish not only in the States, but also internationally. Captain Kris is world class. He's an amazing person and a knowledgeable angler. It rained the day prior to our trip so river conditions weren't ideal, but we still had an incredible time and enjoyed our day. In my mind, the experience is worth far more than the hookup and Captain Kris delivered a remarkable experience and great conversation. We ended up with a few in the boat--more than I was expecting given the conditions which in itself is a testament to his skill--but greater than this, we received a solid education on the fishery and proven tactics that were shared freely and earned from a man who's spent a lifetime on the water. The best part of the package was that despite having just met him, it was like fishing with an old friend. Honestly, I'd fish with him anytime.

Captain Kris showed my father the most amazing time on his birthday. We caught over 30 nice-sized crappies and a blue gill. This was an unforgettable trip and we were grateful for the experience!! Highly recommended — will do again.

Captain Kris is a true professional who made our trip incredibly enjoyable. He provided all the necessary details and meeting locations ahead of time and was punctual. I highly recommend his fishing trips to anyone and plan to reach out to him again in the future.

Had an awesome day with Kris! He’s friendly, eager to share his expertise, and I highly recommend booking with him. He stayed in great communication before our trip, provided clear directions to the marina, and made sure we departed on time to avoid the storms. The boat was comfortable, and his tackle was first-class. I’ll definitely be back!
